Hello, readers! As we wind down on 2015, I’d like to serve up a reminder that the holiday season is about togetherness with loved ones, not necessarily the meals we arrange as centerpieces on our tables. This is also a time of year when many “let go,” so to speak, and wind up packing on the pounds.
There is a better way, and it’s to focus on fruit, tender greens and a healthful amount of fat. I believe that this way of eating—a low-fat raw food diet—is our future, and, for a growing group of people the world over, is the ultimate way to live in the here and now! Why wait for New Year’s Day to begin eating healthfully so you can be your best? Every day is an opportunity to fly high!
Rupinder Kaur went raw vegan two-and-a-half years ago. This New Delhi, India, woman summoned the strength and focus to make a huge lifestyle leap at a dark time in her life, and her inspiring interview hit me hard—in a good way. Now, she’s showing how. Rupinder’s is the 92nd transformation story to be published in Fruit-Powered Magazine. She shares a recipe, Raw Narial ke Ladoo (Raw Coconut Balls), with transition tips coming next week.
In his Lessons from the Orchard guest spot, Dr. David Klein shines a light on his favorite benefit of leading a raw food diet, and it’s certainly one of my favorites. “Today, 31 years after adopting my new natural diet, my passion for life is still out of sight, and I am enjoying excellent health, feeling youthful and am always inspired to help humanity learn how they, too, can reverse disease, fully rejuvenate and love life more than ever,” he writes.
Speaking of Dave, I want to share with you my forthcoming Vibrance 12 story on the business side of operating raw food cafés, with a look at Arnold’s Way, Nucleus Raw Foods and Gangster Vegan, all located in Eastern Pennsylvania. Wanting to run such a café or already doing so? Check out this story!
Quick note: In case you missed it, Anthea Frances Falkiner‘s RAW Life Telesummit 2015—featuring in-depth, compelling interviews with myself along with Ted Carr, Ashley Clark, Doug Graham, Tasha Lee, Tarah Millen, Anne Osborne, Andrew Perlot and Paul and Yulia Tarbath, among others—you can explore a variety of packages to get the whole interview set. Five-and-a-half years into my health journey, I’m still learning and gleaned quite a bit of insight during this wonderful program, built for folks on all stages of their journeys.
