Teaming up for Launch of 10 Books in 2014, Mouthwatering Recipe Book Series Classes
Hello, readers! September is upon us! I’ve been assisting Arnold Kauffman, owner of the raw vegan café Arnold’s Way in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, on several books. He’ll have four more titles out by the year’s end, making for our combined output to be a whopping 10 books in 2014! I’m also helping Arnold bring his several films, including the new Breast Cancer Awakening, to wider audiences. More on all these projects in the coming weeks and months.
Speaking of Arnold’s Way, if you’re from Greater Philadelphia, come and join us September 5 for Don Bennett‘s talk and September 16 for Karen Ranzi‘s talk. It’s a special occasion when such high-profile raw fooders come to share their knowledge. I’m also giving my second of four special classes September 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Arnold’s Way in support of my four-volume Mouthwatering Recipe Book Series, with recipes on this night coming from Appetizers, Snacks and Party Dishes. Come and learn how to prepare five winning recipes—and taste all of them—plus learn tips and tricks to enjoying more fruits and veggies and leading a low-fat raw food diet. Additionally, I will reach out to Northeastern Pennsylvania at the Lehigh Valley Natural Health Fest with a talk and food demonstration at noon.
This week, Fruit-Powered Magazine tells its 67th and 68th transformation stories, spotlighting two individuals who made up their minds to live differently in chasing dreams. Evan Rock‘s world opened up after discovering a fruit-based diet, meditation and yoga. Now, Evan is exploring the splendor of nature in his rare-fruit orchard on the Big Island of Hawaii. Enjoy his soul-stirring profile, Rockin’ Durian-Persimmon Salad recipe and, next week, his Top Tips for health!
Cyrus Khambatta is a determined man. Diagnosed with three health conditions, Cyrus has effectively managed these conditions, including Type 1 diabetes, on a low-fat raw food diet. When he heard these words—“Cyrus. The time has come. Learn how to eat.”—his life changed dramatically. Read about this scholar and athlete’s quest to help others and to help himself feel his best.
Also in this week’s Magazine installment, guest writer Don Bennett writes about when an unnatural thing might just be a good thing. He focuses on supplementation, especially Vitamin B12 and his intake of Daily Green Boost, and why he considers it to be needed in this day and age, what with nutrient-deficient foods grown in lackluster soils.
