Packing the House at Arnold’s Way for Mouthwatering Recipe Book Series Launch, ‘Relentless’ Raw Fooders, Lots More Books in the Store!
Hello, readers. As many as 75 packed Arnold’s Way and the neighboring Center for Longevity in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, to kick off the first day of summer June 21 and turned out to be a sensational evening to launch my four-volume Mouthwatering Recipe Book Series. This was my favorite among the almost 40 All-You-Can-Eat Buffets—formerly called “potlucks”—I’ve attended at Arnold’s Way the past three years.

I’m hitting the road to give four recipe classes at 1 p.m. every Saturday in July at Chef Wendy Landiak’s Shankara Vegan Restaurant and Organic Juice Bar in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. These classes tie with the launch of the Mouthwatering Recipe Book Series! Free yourself of any health challenges and come to learn how to make a variety of tantalizing recipes. Call or text Wendy at 484–330–6405 today to sign up for these exciting classes!
I got to spend a few days last month in Luzerne, Pennsylvania, in the Scranton and Wilkes–Barre areas, hanging out with Dan McGrogan, owner of Nucleus Raw Foods, one of the hottest raw food spots in the country. How hot? Well, Dan make the decision to almost triple the size of his business just weeks after opening in late February. His café can accommodate almost 50 in this town of just 3,000! Raw food, as Dan says in a video interview I did with him while on the trip, is wanted now! If you’re going to The Woodstock Fruit Festival next month, be sure to make a trip to Pennsylvania to visit Nucleus Raw Foods and Arnold’s Way. Tell Dan you want the Bruschetta Pizza with Buffalo Hot Sauce—I melt just thinking about it!

Have you seen Vibrance Issue No. 10? Dr. David Klein outdid himself with this latest issue—157 pages! Dave’s “How I Fed My Cats Raw” moves me just as much as it informs me. Vibrance is a tremendous resource and the inspiration for Fruit-Powered Magazine. I hope you support this fine publication for years to come!
This week, Fruit-Powered Magazine tells its 59th and 60th transformation stories. I profile Victor VanRambutan, a man who’s into fitness, growing food and learning lots about gardening. Victor is the kind of guy who’s relentless in his research, and he’s made a name for himself in recent months for sharing his experiences with dental health while leading a low-fat raw food diet.
Speaking of “relentless,” you must be if you’ve got the fire to run 366 consecutive daily marathons! This is what Janette Murray-Wakelin and Alan Murray did all of 2013 and New Year’s Day. This couple’s stat sheet is mind-boggling, but I’ll tell you here they logged an astounding 15,782 kilometers! Janette rose above cancer more than a decade ago. Did I mention they’re in their 60s?
Also in this week’s Magazine installment, guest writer Don Bennett offers an inside look into what prompted him to write a third book, What You Know That Isn’t So, out now in the Fruit-Powered store. Don is such a thoroughly researched treasure in our raw food community, and he spent a decade putting together this book.
