Anna Chmielewska shares her recipe for Banana Tower Raw Pie, loaded with bananas, apples, dates and blueberries. Banana Tower Raw Pie can easily serve as a meal or dessert to win over those unfamiliar with a low-fat raw food diet. Anna went raw in fall 2011. After about six months, Anna, who was born and grew up in Warsaw and lived in Amsterdam, London and Lansdale, Pennsylvania, in recent years, launched the former Fruitarianna.com.
Anna is a writer and graphic designer, supporting raw fooders with their book publishing projects. Anna also created a comic girl, Curious Fruitarianna, who talks about nutrition and health issues. Anna is the author of Things You Can Do with Buckwheat in a Raw Kitchen and From Sickness to Health.

View a Banana Tower Raw Pie Gallery of Step-by-Step Directions
- Using a knife, cut the bananas lengthwise into thin slices.
- Using a mandoline or knife, cut the apples into thin slices, saving half of one apple to combine with dates and blueberries.
- To prepare the sauce, add half of one chopped apple with pitted dates and 4 ounces of blueberries to a food processor and pulse until chopped to your liking.
- Build Banana Tower Raw Pie by adding a layer of sliced bananas on a plate or bowl, adding a layer of apples on top of the bananas and then topping with the sauce. Repeat. Top with the remaining blueberries.
