Home Food Storage Racks and Food Storage Bins Are Vital on a Low-Fat Raw Food Diet
Food storage racks and food storage bins are necessities for raw food enthusiasts to keep their delicious, nutritious fruits such as avocados, bananas, mangos, oranges, tomatoes and watermelon in a large but still compact place.
Home Food Storage Racks and Food Storage Bins: Seville Classics Bin Rack Systems Are High-Quality Commercial-Grade Units Built to Last
When I started browsing for home food storage racks and food storage bins to replace cheap, small and portable wire rack shelves, most of the commercial-grade shelving units I found contained shelves with 12- to 14-inch gaps between each shelf. This is sacrificed space, especially if your goal is to store fruit on these shelves. And then the Seville Classics 7-Shelf Commercial Bin Rack System came into my view. This thing’s a beauty.
Measuring 56 inches high by 36 inches wide by 14 inches deep, this strong, sturdy unit, weighing in at more than 70 pounds, on wheels or leveling feet, is large enough to hold just about all my room-temperature fruits, including watermelon. Four features drew me to the 16-bin Seville Classics model. One is the size of the entire unit, which is large but still compact, leading me to the second feature. Each shelf is just 9 inches apart from the next, meaning there’s little wasted space in comparison with most other shelving units of this variety. These shelves also contain “lips” on their backs and sides to prevent items from rolling off.
Finally, the easily removable bins—12 large bins (7 inches high by 10½ inches wide by 14 inches deep) and four extra-large bins (7 inches high by 16 inches wide by 14 inches deep)—came as a surprise but handy addition. These can be helpful in rotating fruits—and helpful in transporting nanners and other fruits from one room to the location of, say, a Vitamix blender to make fruit smoothies and green smoothies. Of course, some might prefer to let the fruits “breathe” by resting directly on the industrial-strength, NSF-certified steel shelves.
Home Food Storage Racks and Food Storage Bins: Keep Your Fruits, Nuts and Seeds in One Place, Not Scattered Across Your Kitchen
The Seville Classics 7-Shelf Commercial Bin Rack System can hold a case of bananas across two shelves. I’ve been able to stack a case of 100 small Valencia oranges using the bins across a single shelf. I can also store dates along with Ball Mason Jars of nuts and seeds.
I can say that storing your fruit using home food storage racks and food storage bins makes life easier as a raw food enthusiast. You simply save mental energy by seeing your food in one single snapshot as opposed to keeping hands of bananas, for example, strewn throughout assorted small shelves across your kitchen.
Depending on caloric needs and fruit preferences, this shelving unit, assembly for which took less than 30 minutes, might be enough to serve two folks leading a low-fat raw food diet.
